Key Responsibilities:
- Own social content production; this includes but is not limited to; planning, shooting and editing social-first, iPhone shot content across; still life, self-shooting, model shoots, event content and ‘behind the scenes’ assets.
- Support the Social Media Manager in creating, planning and delivering social media plans across all social media channels.
- Maintain the social content calendar, organising visual assets, captions, and other materials for social media posts, ensuring that the posting schedule aligns with marketing campaigns and key events.
- Provide administrative support ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and engaging manner including but not limited to community management, monitoring interactions and responding to comments.
- Own the creation of content briefs for external parties ensuring alignment with Abbott Lyon's TOV, brand aesthetic and overall objectives.
- Work closely with the Graphics team to brief in visual, written and graphic social-led assets using existing imagery.
- Work closely with the Copy Manager to ensure TOV across social assets is in line with the overarching brand approach.
- Ensure all social content adheres to the overarching social media strategy as set by the Head of Social.
- Conduct regular competitor research to ensure Abbott Lyon’s social media content strategy remains ahead of the competitive set.
- Proactively stay on top of all new emerging technologies, channels, tools and trends and assist in the execution of new initiatives to help grow the Abbott Lyon social fan base and increase engagement.
- Own reporting of all social media content regularly conducting performance analysis reporting on key metrics like engagement and reach, sharing insights with the rest of the team and proactively adapting future content based on these insights to achieve optimum performance.
- Create reactive social content with quick turnaround in relation to key events, social media trends, relevant celebrities and influencers that will resonate with our audience.
- Assist the Social Media Manager in developing the activity calendar for social media.
- Assist the Social Media Manager with any ad-hoc social tasks to support the team.
Who Are We Looking For:
- A genuine passion for social media marketing and the integral role it plays in a business.
- A can-do attitude and proactive nature.
- Someone who is comfortable both behind and in front of the camera.
- A deep understanding of the social media landscape, the various platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook and Instagram) and trends within social.
- A creative thinker who is passionate about developing new and engaging social ideas
- An excellent understanding of what does and doesn’t perform on social, and the evolving rules to meet algorithm best practices.
- Great copywriting skills with an understanding of social-first language.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience planning, shooting and editing social-first, iPhone shot content (strong video editing skills essential).
- Exceptional organisational and time-management abilities
- Professional attitude to work.
- Previous experience within a social media team.
- Flexibility to work out of hours and on weekends when required.
